Yerevan – City Tour


Depart from Yerevan. Visit Echmiatsin Monastery (The first Christian Monastery in the World). Echmiatsin is an Armenian Apostolic church, where there is situated the residence of Armenian Patriarch  - Catholicos of all Armenian. Lunch. Excursion to the ruins of Zvartnots temple - temple of “Vigil Forces”, which is considered to be the unique architectural monuiment.

Depart from Yerevan. Visit Khor Virap monastery complex, where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned. Lunch on the bank of the river in a picturesque gorge. Visit the unique monastery of Noravank, which is one of the magnificent monument of medivial Armenian architecture (13 century), and is surrounded with fancy red Rocks. On the way back an excursion to Areni vine factory and degustation of wine. Return to Yerevan.   


Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni - Yerevan

 DAY 4

Depart from Yerevan. Trip to the pagan temple Garni, dedicated to the Sun God – Mihr (the 1st century AD), which was also the summer residence of Armenian kings. Excursion Geghard Monastery (13 century), which is masterfully hewn in a huge rock, famous for its unique architecture and possessing an amazing acoustics. Lunch. Free time.

Depart from Yerevan. Trip to Oshakan, in the curch of St. Mesrop Mashtots. Here, in the crypt, under a marble headstone buried relics of St. Mesrop Mashtots - the creator of the Armenian alphabet. Then move to the Saghmosavank monastery, which was built on the edge of Kasakh river canyon in the 13 th century by Vachutyan dukes. 


Ереван – Oshakan   – Saghmosavank – Yerevan


Depart from Yerevan. Trip to the Forest Kingdom of Armenia – Dilijan. Visit Aghartsin and Goshavank monasteries. Haghartsin is an indescribiable example of blend of nature with architecture (10-11 centuries). Goshavank monastery consists of several religious and secular buildings.  Depart from Goshavank to Sevan one of the world’s greatest high altitude fresh water lakes, which proudly stands at the top of the cliffs of the peninsula and  goes deep into the lake. Lunch on the shore of the lake. Visit the Monastery Sevanavank located on the peninsula.


Yerevan – Haghartsin – Goshavank – Sevanavank - Yerevan


Excursion to the Museum of Ancient Manuscripts – Matenadaran, where more than 10000 ancient manuscripts are stored. Visit several churches in Yerevan (by your choice, guide is included to the tour).


Yerevan - Matenadaran


Depart from Yerevan. Trip to Tatev Monastery, which has been the religious center of Syunik Kingdom, since 9thcentury. In 904 in the courtyard of the complex was set "Gavazan" - swaying pillar (the only one in the world). On the way visit Tanahat Monastery and ruins of Gladzor University. Lunch on the bank of the Arpa river.

Check in the hotel in Goris. Dinner   


Yerevan – Galidzor – Tatev - Goris

 DAY 9

Depart from Goris to Karabakh. Visit Gandzasar Monastery, which is considered to be one of the pearls of Armenian medivial architecture. It was built by Hasan Djalal in the 13 th century. Walking tour in cave city – the Old Goris.

DAY 10

Depart from Goris to Yerevan. Lunch on the bank of the Arpa river.

Transfer to the airport.
